Will the silver tarnish?
Real silver is a softer material than steel, and because it is not plated it can pick up a patina over the years. A silver cloth takes it straight back to bright, and plenty of owners like the way it settles into the detail instead. What it will not do is flake or wear through unevenly the way a plated finish does, and sterling is nickel-free so it will not react on sensitive skin. If you want a piece that never changes at all, take the 316L stainless steel: waterproof, tarnish-proof, hypoallergenic, and identical in ten years.
What if I order the wrong size?
Use the size finder before you order. It's the one step that prevents almost every sizing return. If it's still wrong you have 14 days from delivery to return it unworn and in its packaging, and exchanges ship back to you free of charge, subject to stock. Return postage to us is yours. Rings stock US 7-10 with custom sizes made on request.
How long will it take to reach me?
About two weeks. We take 1-2 business days to pack it, then 7-10 days in transit. Shipping is free worldwide with no minimum, and tracking is emailed the moment it's dispatched.
Do I pay customs or import duties?
No. We cover all import duties and taxes ourselves, so the price you see is the price you pay wherever you are in the world. Nothing to pay on delivery.
What does the lifetime guarantee actually cover?
The materials. If the silver or the steel fails in normal wear, we replace the piece. Natural patina on the silver is not a fault, it is the finish doing what it is meant to do. No expiry date and nothing to register.
Sterling silver or steel: which should I get?
Solid 925 sterling silver is what most people choose, and it is the material NOIRÉ is built around. Real silver rather than the look of it: heavier in the hand, brighter than a plated finish, and it takes on a patina as you wear it. 316L stainless steel is the harder, more scratch-resistant option at a lower price, rhodium-finished so it holds a constant shine, and it is the only choice on the Cuban Chain, Cuban Set and Cross Bracelet. Pick silver if you want the material to age with you, steel if you want it to stay exactly as it arrived.
Can I shower, swim and train in it?
In 316L stainless steel, yes to all three and it will look identical afterwards. It is waterproof, heat-proof, sweat-proof and it does not tarnish. Several reviews are from people who have worn theirs through a year of pools, sea water and training without it dulling. In solid silver you can too, and plenty do, but water and sweat speed up the patina rather than damaging anything. If you want a piece you never think about, take the steel. If you want one that carries the marks of where you have taken it, take the silver.
